JOY JOY JOY.. We always come here for chinese cravings whenever we are at Palm springs. Yes, it is inside the casino but that doesn't mean you have to gamble, their location is right in front of the entrance so if you are not into casinos you do not have to walk around the slot machines to get there. KIDS are welcome. Let's talk about their food, they are DELISH!!! I will have a very loong chapter of review if I will write everything I have tried so far but to make it short it's SUPERB. I will not lie about the saltiness of SOME of their cuisine but hey it is called- "constructive criticism" - so the ROOM for improvement will open. Staff are GREAT! They know what they serve and when asked about their menus they are so knowledgeable unlike from other places that they have to ask the kitchen first. We also met their new manager Noel who is very attentive! He's really like the man of the place. HE makes sure that all his guests are enjoying their meal and assures what's needed must be attended. YOU will feel super welcome and special. The place as always is well-maintained, and tidy. I am not sure if there is a restroom inside the restaurant but maybe in the casino. Parking of course is a lot. Price-wise I think is not bad - the average price for a decent Chinese restaurant. Accepts Credit card, cash, comps, and Apple Pay (not sure). Shala! Overall GREAT EXPERIENCE, will definitely come back and back and back. Enjoy my shared pics!

I was concerned going here as their Yelp ratings are not stellar. However, we wanted Chinese for lunch today. Many I know in the Coachella Valley have great things to say about Joy. It was better than anticipated. We got an amazing comfortable booth in their small intimate dining room. It was a comfortable calming place to dine. Had a good stiff gin and tonic to start. Their house gin is apparently Aviation. Well worth the 12 bucks. SPICY CUCUMBER $9. Solid 5-star appetizer. HUGE portion, more than enough for 2 to share. Crisp cucumber slices in a sweet/spicey chili sauce. Delicious. We took home the leftovers and 2 hours later it was even better. Definitely need to take home whatever you don't eat. It gets better later in the day. SEAFOOD CONGEE $15. Apparently, it contains shrimp, scallops and squid. I found some squid. Could not find the scallops and/or shrimp. Badly needed some seasoning. It was not the best congee. I put in a ton of soy sauce hoping it would help. It helped a bit. I just wanted some seafood in my bowl of rice porridge. Don't order this dish. Service was very good. Cassandra M. was our waitress. She was great. She has a can-do attitude; how can I help you have a great meal. I will definitely return. My lunch partner had delicious pork. I should have ordered the Md BBQ Noodle Soup he had, and this review would have been 5-stars. Everything was well-priced. I just need to order something different next time.

5 stars. A new friend of mine told me that I had to give Joy a try. I was initially turned off because this restaurant is inside a casino, but that's a conversation for another time. I recently got a new car and felt like taking a lunchtime drive. Joy did not disappoint. BBQ noodle soup: 5 stars! I ordered the pork BBQ noodle soup. I was given the chicken noodle soup. Both were delicious. Chicken: tender, flavorful, DELICIOUS skin on some of the chicken slices. Pork: DELICIOUS. juicy, flavorful and juuuust the right amount of fat. Mostly meat and just delicious! The soup itself if clear, appears to be rich in collagen, and comes with a healthy portion of rice noodles and baby bok choy. Add a little green onions and you got a 5 star dish in and of itself. I was about halfway thorough the chicken noodle soup when the Manager, Victoria came by the check on us. I mentioned that the soup was delicious, but I had actually ordered the BBQ PORK noodle soup and asked if I could try a bite of the pork. I am so glad I did this because even though the chicken was 5 star, the pork is much much better. I slid the slices of pork into my soup and gobbled them up. Spicy cucumbers: 5 stars Great appetizer! (see photo) I don't remember the name of this dish exactly but its under the lunch appetizer and its chunks of cucumbers mixed with chili, garlic and a sauce of some kind. Delicious and reminds me of something my grandmother used to make me with my rice. Gin Gin Mule (alcoholic drink): 4 stars. Strong, but good and I just might order this drink again. Service: 5 stars!
